National Summative Assessment

If you are a GP registrar you must read the Summative Assessment Guidelines. Please visit the National Office for Summative Assessment website www.nosa.org.uk

Summative assessment comprises four assessments - these are continuously developing and assessments offered by the RCGP are slowly encroaching upon those offered by COGPED (which took over from UKCRA...). You must do one of the options from each of the four groups.

The RCGP assessments are generally more taxing but count towards Membership. There is a charge for RCGP assessments and the simulated surgery - other assessments are free.
