Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners

Passing Summative Assessment is the mark of competence; gaining Membership is the mark of excellence.

As a registrar you can become an Associate Member

But you can only become a Member by examination in one form or another. Details of the benefits and responsibilities of Membership, and the exams are also on the RCGP website

The Deanery strongly supports the College and encourages all registrars to take the College route to summative assessment in order that registrars may demonstrate their quality and join the College at the earliest opportunity.

Working together in MRCGP study groups within your scheme certainly helps towards success in the exams.
So does an MRCGP revision course - details of these are below.

Cambridge MRCGP Courses - run by examiners and with an excellent success rate.
