In 2004 annual appraisal was extended to all doctors
in training.
Trainers and Educational Supervisors are the most appropriate appraisers for
GP registrars and SHOs.
Trainees are responsible for ensuring that they are annually appraised.
As for all other doctors the appraisal documentation remains the
property of the appraisee. The trainer / educational supervisor
should retain a copy of Form 4 - Summary of Appraisal
Discussion - on the GP registrar's personal file and provide a copy
to the Patch Director.
