Transfer of Training within & outwith the Deanery

Sometimes registrars and SHOs wish to transfer to another area of the Deanery or another area of the country to complete their training. We will do our best to help in these circumstances provided that there are good personal or professional reasons behind the request. However, the training programmes are tightly planned and places are hotly contested so there is no right to transfer and, even in the most deserving of circumstances, it may not be possible.

Please note that if you wish to transfer in August you must have applied by the closing date of the advert for that recruitment round.

Please discuss your difficulties with your trainer, course organiser and/or patch director and if, you wish to proceed with a request see the guidance, and use the application form below.

All Inter and Intra Deanery Transfer Applications will be frozen until National Clearing has finished.
